This is a basic rhythm exercise to help people recognize the difference between duple (2) and triple (3) rhythms.

West African music uses a poly-meter that combines duple and triple rhythms seamlessly. The ability to acknowledge both meters is essential for Western trained musicians to learn and master West African Rhythms.

Listen closely to each rhythm and play it in response on your instrument of choice. Aim for accuracy and do your best to stay in line with the tempo.
